Although artificial stone may look comparable to natural stone at first, it can wear and fade with exposure to the elements. Glacial Till Granite is the raw material that most of our natural stone products are fabricated from. Our stone was naturally formed by ancient volcanism that created many layers of igneous rock in the earth’s crust millions of years ago. This igneous rock was modified by an ice age marked with colder temperatures and glacier advances. When the atmosphere warmed the ice sheets began shifting this rock from the earth’s surface and large amounts of till were washed away and deposited as colorful granite boulders in the rivers flowing from the glacier. The main depository in our region is the Mississippi River which had many tributary rivers and lakes flowing into it. Over time these river beds and streams dried up leaving the rock buried in the soil. This is how nature made Glacial Till Granite and the deposits near our headquarters in Bagley, MN are abundant. Note: no environmentally sensitive land is harmed in the harvesting of this raw material and we remain committed to respecting our natural resources.
Our Building and Landscape stones can be used in a variety of ways such as; exterior home siding, interior walls and flooring, bathrooms, showers, kitchen backsplashes, exterior pavers, patios, porches, walkways, interior and exterior fireplaces, retaining walls, pool surrounds, and more.
